Our services

A range of systems to meet every assembly on your project.

Commercial

Spray Foam Insulation

Closed-cell and open-cell foam that seals, insulates and controls vapour in one application — ideal for tight cavities and complex assemblies.

Commercial

Batt & Blanket Insulation

Fibreglass and mineral wool systems installed to spec across walls, floors and demising assemblies for consistent, verified R-value.

Commercial / Residential

Blown-In Insulation

Loose-fill cellulose and fibreglass that fills irregular cavities and attics completely, eliminating the gaps that drive heat loss.

Commercial

Fireproofing & Firestopping

Rated assemblies and penetration firestopping installed to meet BC building code and pass inspection the first time.

Commercial

Air & Vapour Barriers

Continuous air sealing and vapour control — the difference between a building that meets its energy target and one that doesn't.

Residential

Homeowner Retrofits

Attic, crawlspace and wall upgrades that make homes noticeably more comfortable while cutting heating and cooling consumption.

Residential

Cellulose Insulation (Drill & Fill)

Dense-pack cellulose blown into the closed wall cavities of an existing home through small access holes, then patched — a real wall insulation upgrade without opening up the walls. It kills drafts and cold interior surfaces, and it's the right fix for pre-1980 Lower Mainland stock with empty or settled cavities.

The difference an envelope makes

Without a proper envelope

Energy leaves the building

  • Heat escapes through under-insulated attics, rim joists and thermal bridges
  • Cold rooms, drafts and temperature swings floor to floor
  • Heating and cooling equipment runs longer to hold setpoint
  • Warm moist air reaches cold surfaces — condensation and mould risk

With NRG

Energy stays where you paid for it

  • Continuous air barrier and sealed penetrations across every assembly
  • Even temperatures room to room, summer and winter
  • Heating and cooling load cut by as much as 40%
  • Vapour control detailed correctly so assemblies stay dry

Energy & ESG

Insulation is the cheapest energy you will ever buy.

Every kilowatt a building doesn't need is a kilowatt nobody has to generate. That is why we treat the envelope as performance work, not a trade line item — and why we install it to the standard the drawings actually specify.

  1. Lower operating energy

A continuously insulated, air-sealed envelope cuts the heating and cooling load a building carries for its entire service life — the single largest lever on operational carbon.

  2. BC building code compliance

Building codes in BC dictate specific standards for insulation installation. We install to those standards, document the assemblies, and keep inspections moving.

  3. Comfort and occupant health

Even temperatures, no cold walls, controlled vapour movement and quieter interiors — measurable comfort, not just a number on a spec sheet.

  4. Rebates, handled

You may qualify for BC Hydro or FortisBC insulation rebates. As a registered Home Performance Contractor Network member, we confirm exactly what your home qualifies for, apply it, and handle the paperwork — amounts depend on your home and current program terms, confirmed at your free assessment.

Our position

Code is the floor. We build for the ceiling.

Every few years, British Columbia raises the bar on what a building is allowed to waste. The Energy Step Code is climbing toward one destination: by 2032, every new building in this province must be net-zero energy ready — as efficient as the technology allows. The lowest rungs are already gone. What passed inspection in 2018 wouldn't be legal today.

Most of the industry treats this as a moving compliance problem — do the minimum the current step demands, and scramble again when it rises. We think that's backwards.

The building envelope is the single highest-leverage decision in any project. Get it right and everything downstream gets easier — smaller mechanical systems, lower bills, quieter rooms, a building that holds its temperature for fifty years. Get it wrong and no furnace, heat pump, or rebate can buy the performance back. Insulation is the cheapest energy anyone will ever buy: every kilowatt a building doesn't need is a kilowatt nobody has to generate, forever.

So we don't build to the current step. We build to where the code is going — and past it. Because the province has already shown what the research proves: a high-performance building doesn't have to cost more than a code-minimum one. Often it costs less. The only thing standing between most projects and that outcome is an envelope installed by people who actually understand air, moisture, and heat.

That's the work we chose to be the best at.

Beyond code

What building for 2032 actually takes.

Code = floorWe build for the ceiling

Air-tightness is the make-or-break metric

The Step Code is proven by air-tightness testing, not good intentions. A building can be full of insulation and still fail if the air barrier isn't continuous. Our team holds Air Barrier Specialist certification from BCIT — the discipline most envelope failures trace back to, and the one most subs still underestimate. We build the barrier that passes the test.

Net-zero-ready envelopes, now

Step 5 — the 2032 standard — is effectively the Passive House level of performance: the most efficient building you can construct today. We install envelopes to that standard for builders and developers who don't want to renovate their way up to code in five years. Build it once, build it for where the code is headed.

Performance that pays for itself

BC's own program data shows high-performance buildings often cost the same or less than code-minimum ones over their life — smaller mechanical loads, lower operating energy, fewer callbacks. We treat the envelope as the highest-return line on the project, not a cost to minimize. The cheapest kilowatt is the one you never have to generate.

Built for code, not just comfort

Building codes in BC dictate specific standards for insulation installation. We know those codes, and we install to them — protecting occupant safety and resale value.

Skill, experience, reputation

We collaborate with general contractors and builders on schedule-driven projects. The work gets done right the first time, without callbacks holding up your trades.
